Libyan Presidential Council leader and th Supreme Commander of the Army, Mohamed Menfi, issued instructions on the need to activate the Military Inspection Department, during a meeting on Thursday morning with the Military Inspector General, Lieutenant General Muhammad Mahdi Al-Sharif.
The Presidential Council's media office said that Al-Sharif presented "a detailed report on the Military Inspection Department" prior to Menfi's decision.
The office added: "The Supreme Commander issued instructions on the need to pay attention to this deparment and activate it role to carry out its tasks and competencies in inspection and follow-up in accordance with the law."
The meeting between Menfi and Al-Sharif is part of a series of meetings with military leaders within the framework of the Presidential Council's initiative to organize the technical and organizational operations of military departments.
