The Chairman of Libya's High National Elections Commission (HNEC) Imad Al-Sayeh and the British Ambassador to Libya Martin Longden discussed support for the electoral process in Libya, and the current level of readiness to implement elections.
This came at a meeting at the headquarters of the commission on Wednesday, where Longden expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the commission to prepare for the municipal council elections, according to a statement from the HNEC.
Longden reiterated his government's readiness to provide technical and advisory support, thereby enhancing the HNEC's readiness and creating a favourable climate for the implementation of the anticipated entitlements.
