The Criminal Court sentenced a former head of Libya's mission to Uganda to 13 months in prison, as well as a former finance official at the mission.

The Attorney General's Office said that its investigation concluded that the officials did not comply with their duties, so it filed suit against them before the Criminal Court, according to a statement.

The financial officer, who worked from 2013 to 2017, was sentenced to one year in prison.
