The General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL) announced on Saturday that the second unit of the Gulf Steam Station project in Sirte has been completed and will be added to the electrical network.

The works were carried out by the Electric Construction Company with the participation of technicians and engineers from GECOL, according to a statement.

In August, GECOL announced the arrival of a transformer weighing 208 tons at the station.
