The Speaker of Libya's House of Representatives, Aguila Saleh, met on Wednesday with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan at the ministry's headquarters in Ankara, according to a Turkish Foreign Ministry post on X.

Turkey's Foreign Ministry published photos of the meeting between Aguila and Fidan, without further details.

Saleh arrived in Ankara on Tuesday evening, accompanied by parliament members Abdul Nabi Saleh Al-Ghaithi, Osama Al-Shaafi and Al-Khair Al-Shaab.

Earlier on Wednesday, Saleh held two separate meetings with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and President of the Grand National Assembly Numan Kurtulmuş.

Saleh's media office said that he confirmed "the position of the House of Representatives on the formation of a new government tasked with supervising the upcoming parliamentary and presidential elections", in both meetings.
