A delegation from the Algerian Customs Authority inspected the Debdeb-Ghadames border crossing with Libya on Sunday, in preparation for its reopening on Tuesday.
The inspections comes days after the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Libya's Government of National Unity announced the completion of "all technical, legal and regulatory procedures on both sides to ensure normal movement through the crossing.”
The Algerian side closed the crossing in 2014 due to the security tension in Libya.
The two countries are seeking to raise the volume of trade by $3 billion in the coming years.
