The General Authority for Search and Identification of Missing Persons announced on Saturday that DNA samples were taken from 60 unidentified bodies recovered afted the devastation from Storm Daniel that struck eastern Libya on September 10.
The authority added in a statement that the total number of samples collected has now reached 1,536.
It said that its teams then buried the 60 bodies in the 'Storm Martyrs' Cemetery" in the Fataeh area of the city of Derna.
512 bodies have been buried at the cemetery as of November 4.
