The General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL) announced the provision of new vehicles to maintenance departments, with the aim of achieving a rapid response to power outage reports.

The company confirmed, in a post on its Facebook page, the supply of two batches of service vehicles, to be distributed to the technical maintenance departments.

In another context, the GECOL announced that technical teams are urgently heading to carry out maintenance and repair work at the Zahiwi distribution station in the city of Zawiya, which was damaged as a result of a fire.

The company added that the station was significantly damaged as a result of the fire, which caused a power outage in neighboring areas, noting that it provided two stations with full equipment, to be used instead of the burning station to feed the area quickly.
