Government of National Unity Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dabaiba stressed on Wednesday, the need to start work on the Zuwara sewage plant project after contractual procedures have been completed.

Dabaiba's confirmation came at the end of his meeting with members of the Zuwara Municipal Council and a number of elders from the city, whom he received in Tripoli.

A government statement said that the meeting came within the framework of "following up on the security and service situation in the municipality, and was devoted to following up on the basic development projects implemented in the municipality, the most important of which is the completion of Zuwara Hospital which has been suspended since 2010, the Zuwara desalination plant which has been suspended since 2013 and the development and maintenance of the coastal road."
