The Explosives Section for the Central Region and the Technical Affairs Department of the Criminal Investigation Service carried out the destruction of 3 tons of war remnants in the Kararim area in the city of Misrata on Tuesday.

The Ministry of Interior for Libya's Government of National Unity said that the choice of the Kararim area to dispose of war remnants was due to "the ability to dispose of this huge quantity in a 100% safe manner."

The ministry praised the efforts of the technicians and the "accuracy of their performance in disposing of war remnants that were found and recovered from different areas over time."
