Libya's House of Representatives unanimously approved the issuance of laws on the election of the head of state and the National Assembly on Monday according to spokesman Abdullah Bliheg.
Earlier, Speaker Aguila Saleh said during a session in Benghazi that he received the laws from MP Jalal al-Shuwaihidi on Sunday.
He added during a house session in Benghazi on Monday, that "the law that was approved by the 6+6 committee according to the constitutional amendment and does not exclude anyone who meets the known conditions for candidacy. Every citizen has the right to run whether civilian or part of the military without exclusions, and whoever does not win the election returns to his previous job."
Saleh added that "he law took into account all considerations and the circumstances that the country is going through and achieved equality in the practice of political work".
He thanked the committee, considering their work a "basis for the unification of power in the country and achieves the desire of Libyans for presidential and parliamentary elections."
