The Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Libya, Abdoulaye Bathily, praised the efforts of Marshal Khalifa and his forces in cities affected by flooding on Sunday.

The comments came after Haftar received Bathily and his accompanying delegation at General Command headquarters in the Rajma area of Benghazi.

The General Command's Information Office said that Bathily "offered his condolences to the Libyan people and their leadership for the victims of the floods, praising at the same time the efforts of the General Command forces and their leadership and the work done in the affected cities of Jabal Al-Akhdar and the eastern region."

Earlier on Sunday, the General Command announced in a brief statement that Haftar ordered the allocation of a camp (formerly Azzouz), affiliated with the 166th Infantry Brigade, for the people of the city of Derna affected by the Storm Daniel disaster.
