The General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL) announced that technical teams from Tripoli, carried out repair work on the networks affected by flooding in the city of Al-Bayda due to Storm Daniel.

GECOL added that power has returned to the Omar Al-Mukhtar area, west of the city of Al-Bayda, 35 lighting poles have been installed and 5,000 meters have been replaced in areas affected by flooding.

On Friday, the company announced that a large convoy carrying equipment, materials and machinery, accompanied by 400 engineers and technicians, is traveling to the areas affected by Storm Daniel.
