Romanian Foreign Minister Luminița Odobescu announced on Sunday her country is transporting 55 tons of basic goods to Benghazi under the European Union's civil protection mechanism.
In a post on her X account, the minister pointed out that her country sent the first of six planes carrying aid to Libya to cope with the devastating effects of the floods that hit the east of the country.
According to a previous statement issued by the Libyan government appointed by the House of Representatives, a Romanian plane arrived at Benghazi's Benina airport, where it was received by Foreign Minister Abdulhadi Al-Hweij, Defense Minister Ahmed Houma and Investment Minister Ali Saidi.
