European estimates suggest that 4,454 houses in the city of Al-Bayda were damaged by floods and torrential rains caused by Storm Daniel.
The extent of the damage to Al-Bayda appeared in images taken by 'Copernicus', the European Union's space program, of the city before and after the floods, according to an X post, on Monday.
Copernicus aims to achieve a global, continuous, autonomous, high-quality, and large-scale Earth observation capability.
In Derna, 891 buildings were completely destroyed, while 211 others were partially damaged according to a Libyan Government of National Unity estimate.
Storm Daniel, which swept through eastern Libya on September 10, caused widespread infrastructure destruction, thousands of deaths, with thousands missing, in addition to a large wave of displacement.
