The Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, offered his condolences on Monday to Libyan Presidential Council leader Mohamed Menfi, for the victims of Storm Daniel which swept the eastern regions of Libya on Sunday.

The Presidential Council's media office said that the Menfi received "a cable of condolences from the Emir of the State of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, in which he expressed his sincere condolences and sympathy to the Libyan people for the victims of floods and torrential rains that swept the northeastern regions of Libya."

The media office added that the Emir wished a speedy recovery to the injured.
