Government of National Unity Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dabaiba decided to suspend his Minister of Foreign Affairs, Najla Mangoush and refer her to investigation on Sunday.

Resolution No. 368 of 2023 came against the backdrop of Mangoush's meeting in Rome a week ago with Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen.

The decision stipulates the formation of an investigative committee headed by the Minister of Justice and the membership of the Minister of Local Government and the Director of the Legal Affairs and Complaints Department in the Cabinet.

It will be tasked to investigate Mangoush and provide a report to Dabaiba within a maximum period of three days.

Youth Minister Fathallah Abdullatif al-Zini will be temporarily assigned to run the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
