The Man-Made River Authority Administrative Committee Chairman, Ahmed Ali Al-Deeb, announced that the pumping of water to the city of Benghazi will begin on Monday, according to normal rates, pointing to the completion of all repair work to Ajdabiya-Benghazi line on Sunday.
He added that the system will start today to feed the areas and cities located between the city of Ajdabiya and the Saluk reservoir, which includes, according to a statement.
This comes less than a week after the completion of maintenance work on the Ajdabiya-Benghazi water transmission pipeline, which was damaged by an explosion near the Zueitina area, east of the city of Ajdabiya.
The explosion cause leaks, drowned farms and wasted an estimated 500,000 cubic liters of water before the Man-Made River Authority announced it had been brought under control.
