The Minister of Education for Libya's interim Government of National Unity, Moussa Magariaf, announced the opening of a new school in Kabaw, in an event that is the first of its kind in a region that has not witnessed the construction or maintenance of any educational institutions in 17 years.
Magarief participated in the opening of the Wadi Sidr School of Education Control in the municipality on Wednesday, which includes eight classrooms, a teachers' room and administrative offices, according to a ministry statement.
Magarief praised the efforts of Kabaw municipality and the Education Monitor, parents and sheikhs for their interest in educational institutions, expressing his hope that the next school year, which will start in early September, will be a year of stability for students throughout the country.
