The Interior Ministry for Libya's interim Government of National Unity (GNU) discussed arrangements to secure the cabinet meeting scheduled for Ghadames.

This came in an expanded meeting on Wednesday morning at the Ghadames Security Directorate, which included the director of security, the director of the General Department for Central Support and the heads of security and military agencies in the city, according to a ministry statement.

On Tuesday, the ministry announced the arrival of a security force in the city.

The statement pointed out that this force was assigned under the instructions of Minister Imad Trabelsi, in order to secure the perimeter of the meeting.
