The Ministry of the Interior for Libya's interim Government of National Unity announced that the bodies of six migrants had been found near the border with Tunisia.

Libyan border guards were recently directed to intensify security patrols on the Al-Asa border security sector as migrants are being expelled to the area by Tunisian authorities.

A patrol came upon the six unidentified corpses on Sunday.

The ministry indicated that the bodies were recovered, in the presence of members of the Attorney General's office and a support team from the Ministry of Health.
