The General Authority for the Search and Identification of Missing Persons announced on Monday that its teams discovered a new mass grave on Salem bin Ali Road in the city of Tarhuna, according to a statement.

The authority noted that the process of exhuming the bodies and remains will begin on Tuesday.

Mass grave discoveries began in late June 2020 in Tarhuna and the issue remains one of the challenges facing the human rights file in Libya.
