The Minister of Education for Libya's interim Government of National Unity, Musa Magarief, performed an inspection on the arrival of textbook shipments to the ministry's main warehouses in Tajoura.

A statement by the ministry said that so far, three million textbooks have arrived and that Magarief directed the transfer of books to educational institutions by August 20, in order to be distributed to students at the start of the next academic year on September 3.

The Center for Educational Curricula and Educational Research expects all text books for the next year of studies to arrive by July 24, according to a statement by the Ministry of Education.

Magarief added that textbooks arrived in record time compared to previous years. 

He also praised local companies that took over the task of printing of books this year and their management of production batches despite payment delays due to budget.
