The General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL) announced the start of work to update the lighting network in the city of Susa, 30 km east of Al-Bayda.

The works included the installation of lighting poles, power lines, and the installation of new bases for all poles on main streets, according to a brief statement issued on Tuesday.

The company added that the campaign aims to develop the infrastructure in the city of Susa and maintain public safety.

This comes after the General Electricity Company announced the launch of a large-scale maintenance campaign for the lighting network in the city of Derna and its main streets, last Thursday.
