The Investigation and Arrest Unit of the Central Region's Law Enforcement Department "detained 139 illegal immigrants at dawn on Monday, on the road linking Abugrein and Jufra."

The Ministry of the Interior for Libya's interim Government of National Unity released a statement saying these migrants had been "kidnapped and being taken to a farm in the Zamzam Valley to be trafficked."

The General Directorate of Security Operations confirmed that all legal measures have been taken and that they have been transferred to competent authorities.
