Libyan Parliament Speaker Aguila Saleh met with the head of the Government of National Stability, Osama Hammad, on Sunday, indicating his confidence in the government's ability to hold elections.

Saleh's media office said that the meeting was held in the town of Al-Qubbah and dealt with the budget law, adding that the Speaker stressed the need to provide the citizen's needs regarding food, medicine and electricity.

Saleh affirmed his confidence in the ability of the government "to achieve the aspirations of the Libyan people and to hold fair and transparent presidential and legislative elections as soon as possible."

Hammad spoke of his government's keenness to carry out the mission entrusted to it, and to rise to the level of the aspirations of the Libyan people, in addition to its commitment to implementing plans, programs and initiatives aimed at advancing the Libyan economy and securing a better future.
