An Austrian delegation expressed its willingness to support a proposal for opening airspace between Libya and Austria.

This came during a meeting between the Libyan ambassador to Austria, Osama Abdel-Hadi, with an Austrian delegation headed by the Director General of Vienna International Airport.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the possibility of opening the airspace, the return of air traffic between the two countries, and the operation of three flights per week, according to a statement, with the Austrian side welcoming the proposal, expressing its willingness to support these steps.

This initiative comes after the Ministry of Transportation agreed with Malta to resume air traffic between the two countries, as the first agreement related to European airspace.
