The head of Libya's interim Government of National Unity, Abdulhamid Dabaiba, received German Ambassador Michael Ohnmacht at his office in Tripoli on Tuesday.

Accordfing to Dabaiba's office they discussed bilateral relations and economic cooperation between the two countries, noting that the ambassador affirmed Germany’s support for local and international efforts to hold presidential elections according to fair and impartial laws.

Before the meeting, Dabaiba participated in the meeting of the Defense and Security Council chaired by Presidential Council leader Mohamed Menfi, in the presence of the Chief of the General Staff, General Muhammad Al-Haddad, the head of the General Intelligence Service, Lieutenant General Hussein Al-Ayeb, Designated Minister of Interior Emad Trabelsi and the head of the Security Service Major General Lutfi Al-Hariri.
