The Ministry of the Interior for Libya's interim Government of National Unity said that its delegation headed a meeting of Arab justice and interior ministries to discuss the issue of criminalizing the payment of ransoms to terrorists.
It added that the meeting was held at Arab League headquarters in Cairo.
According to a statement issued by the ministry, the issues of combating money laundering and terrorist financing were also discussed.
Experts and representatives of the Ministries of Justice and Interior from Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Algeria, Somalia, Iraq, the Sultanate of Oman, Qatar, Egypt, Morocco and Yemen, as well as representatives of the General Secretariat of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers, participated in the meeting.
