Libyan Government of National Unity Chief of Staff, General Muhammad Al-Haddad, met on Tuesday with a delegation from the US Department of Defense in Tripoli.

The General Staff said on its Facebook page that the US delegation was "represented by the US Defense Attache to Libya", noting that Al-Haddad welcomed the guests and affirmed the depth of relations between the two countries.

The General Staff added that they "discussed relations between the Libyan army and the US army and the possibility of developing them," pointing out that Al-Haddad praised the role played by AFRICOM forces.
