The Libyan Red Crescent announced the recovery of 17 bodies after a boat wreck off the coast of the city of Sabratha.
A statement issued on Sunday said that "a report had arrived about the sinking of a migrant boat off the shores of the city," noting that the Red Crescent teams in the city responded to the report despite the difficult weather, accompanied by the Public Prosecution and the Sabratha police.
The statement pointed out that the bodies of the migrants were recovered and transported to the designated medical facilities, in cooperation with the local authorities.
