The Libyan National Army's (LNA) General Command announced the details of the third meeting, held over two days in the city of Benghazi, headed by Government of National Unity Chief of Staff, General Muhammad Al-Haddad, and LNA Chief of Staff General Abdulrazeq Nadouri, in the presence of military officials.
A statement said that the meeting discussed six files:
- Completing steps to unify the military institution
- Problems facing members of the military
- Problems facing graduates of military colleges
- Steps to unify the salaries of members of the military institution
- Mechanisms for forming a joint military force and defining its work
- Mechanisms to support and facilitate the work of the 5+5 Joint Military Commission
During a speech at the meeting, Nadouri said, "The military institution is fading away from tribal, partisan, and political affiliations... military leaders, whatever the differences between them are able to come together and bridge the gap as soon as possible."
