Libyan Government of National Unity Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Muhammad Al-Haddad signed a technical agreement to train the Special Forces with his Italian counterpart, Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone, on Tuesday.

This came during Al-Haddad's visit to Rome according to a statement released by his office.

Dragone welcomed Al-Haddad and his accompanying delegation before the signing ceremony, which took place in the presence of the Director of the Office of the Minister of Defense, the Director of the Training Department, the Commander of the Special Forces, the Military Coordinator of the Libyan-Italian Committee, and the Legal Adviser at the Ministry of Defense.

Dragone also praised the exchange of experiences and military cooperation between the two countries, pointing to the importance of the cooperation of neighboring countries in the Mediterranean region to address the security challenges facing the region.
