The Ministry of the Interior for Libya's interim Government of National Unity announced on Sunday the destruction of six tons of war remnants in the Dhahra area of Gharyan.

The ministry said in a statement that the explosives disposal office of the Technical Affairs Department disposed of the war remnants collected from several areas of southern Tripoli, Al-Jafara, and the Western Mountain.

It indicated that the team destroyed two tons on Tuesday and four tons on Wednesday out of a total of 20 tons.

It added that the disposal was carried out in accordance with safety standards and conditions, and work is still continuing until the rest of the quantity is disposed of.
