The head of Libya's interim Government of National Unity, Abdulhamid Dabaiba, received at his home a number of members from the Warfalla Social Council, notables from the city of Bani Walid and directors of Bani Walid municipality's service sectors.
A statement released by the government quoted the members of the Social Council as giving “their thanks to the government for its efforts to restore life in all Libyan regions, including Bani Walid,” as well as “supporting efforts to stabilize Bani Walid after a period of marginalization over the past years."
The statement added that the youth of Bani Walid affirmed in their speech "their support for the local and international efforts to hold the elections as the real solution to all the political and economic problems that the country suffers from," pointing out that they praised "the prime minister's efforts to support the youth and implement programs that achieved stability and development for them."
Dabaiba stressed the role of the Warfalla tribes in social peace and "the need for them to play their historical role in stability and reunification," stressing that "the government will not give up providing services to the city in all fields."
At the end of the meeting, the statement quoted the city's notables as saying that "building the state and ending conflicts will only take place through elections."
