The General Authority for the Search and Identification of Missing Persons announced the discovery of two new mass graves in Tarhuna on Monday.
The authority said, in a brief statement, that its teams were able to discover the two mass graves on Salem Bin Ali Road and Al-Saqiya Road, after communications received from the Deterrence Agency for Combating Terrorism and Organized Crime.
The exhumation process is scheduled to begin on Tuesday.
The Public Prosecutor's Office is currently conducting investigations on mass graves that are being discovered in the city of Trahuna and interviewing families of the victims. The Al-Kani militia is accused of murdering hundreds of civilians during the 2019-2020 war for Tripoli.
