The General Authority for the Search and Identification of Missing Persons announced on Tuesday, the exhumation of an unidentified body from a mass grave off Salem Bin Ali Road in the city of Tarhuna.

In a statement, the authority said that the body was transferred to the forensic medicine department and a sample was taken for DNA testing.

The authority announced the discovery of the grave on Monday and began the exhumation process less than 24 hours later.

In early January, three bodies were discovered in the same area of the city.
