On Sunday, Libya's interim Government of National Unity said it has sent two humanitarian aid planes and a relief team to Syria in response to the devastating earthquake.
The government added that the two aid planes were sent, loaded with food, medicine, children's clothes and tents, accompanied by a number of volunteers from the Libyan Red Crescent and the Relief Authority.
Earlier on Sunday, the government announced that a Libyan technical team in charge of rescue work in Turkey was able to rescue a woman and a child under the rubble of collapsed buildings.
