Libyan Arab Armed Forces Commander, Marshal Khalifa Haftar, received the Spanish Ambassador to Libya, Javier García-Larrache, and his accompanying delegation on Wednesday.

The General Command published a statement saying the meeting took place at its Benghazi headquarters without revealing any details about the meeting.

This week, Haftar has met with the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Libya, Abdoulaye Bathily, British Ambassador Caroline Hurndall, the Commanding Officer of the Joint Expeditionary Force, General Jim Morris, and Government of National Stability Prime Minister Fathi Bashagha.

According to a tweet by Bathily, they discussed the current political, security and societal conditions in Libya, noting their agreement on the need for all parties to participate constructively and without delay in developing a constitutional framework to facilitate free, fair, and transparent elections in 2023.
