An expanded meeting was held at the Presidential Council's office on Wednesday, to follow up the measures taken for development projects in 2022.

The meeting included Presidential Council leader Mohamed Menfi, Government of National Unity Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dabaiba, Central Bank Governor Siddiq Al-Kabir, and Audit Bureau head Khaled Shakshak.

A statement from Menfi said the meeting is due to the necessity of continuous monitoring of government spending in all parts of the state, and to work to highlight the development section as the most important part of the budget, provided that transparency and fair distribution are ensured.

Menfi previously met with Shakshak and Al-Kabir on December 26 to "stress the need to increase disclosure and transparency on government expenditures".
