Morocco's Foreign Minister announced the imminent resumption of consular activities in Tripoli and Benghazi, without clarifying whether the move would include the reopening of the embassy in Tripoli.

Nasser Bourita's announcement came in response to a parliamentary question in the House of Councillors on Tuesday evening. 

He did not specify an exact date for the reopening of the consulates of Tripoli and Benghazi. 

The Moroccan embassy in Tripoli and its two consulates have been closed since an April 2015 terrorist attack by ISIS.
