United Nations Development Program signs agreement with France and Germany to support Libya's electoral process

The United Nations Development Program signed an agreement with the German and French governments to support the "People" project, which aims to provide technical and advisory support for the electoral process in Libya, under the supervision of the United Nations Support Mission to Libya.

The signing was held at the headquarters of Libya's High National Elections Commission, in the presence of its president, Emad Al-Sayeh.

In a related context, Al-Sayeh also met with the Chinese Ambassador to Libya, Wang Qimin, and his accompanying delegation on Thursday. According to a statement, the two sided discussed ways to support national proposals and endeavors that seek peace and stability, and are aimed at achieving consensus among political parties.
