A delegation from the Kufra municipality held a meeting with Parliament Speaker Aguila Saleh in Benghazi on Tuesday.

The delegation expressed "their appreciation for the role of the Speaker of the House of Representatives in this sensitive stage that the country is going through and their appreciation for his firm national positions."

They also demanded he "continue his national efforts and not to abandon the homeland and not to hand over the country except to an elected body of the people."

Parliament's media office added that the meeting with Saleh also dealt with a number of issues related to the municipality of Kufra and the demands of the Tebu and Azwiya tribes.
