The Misrata High Court of Appeals held a fourth hearing in the trial of more than fifty individuals accused of belonging to ISIS, including the leader Fawzi Al-Ayat, at the headquarters of the Criminal Investigations Department in the city.

During the hearing, the judge listened to the statements of the defendants' lawyers, as well as statements of eyewitnesses.

The hearing was attended by families of ISIS victims, activists from the city of Misrata and a number of fighters from the 'Bunyan Al-Marsous Operation' who participated in the liberation of the city of Sirte from the terror organization.

 'Bunyan Al-Marsous Operation' was launched on May 5, 2016 and lasted for seven months. Sirte was officially liberated on December 6, 2016.
