Parliament appointed Prime Minister Fathi Bashagha made a visit to Ghat, accompanied by a number of ministers, during which he inspected the security and service conditions in the city, as well as the Essin border crossing with Algeria.
The government's media office said that the heads of official institutions and social leaders in the city of Ghat received Bashagha and his accompanying delegation, amid performances of traditional arts.
In a press statement published by the Government Information Office, Bashagha expressed his happiness to be among the people of Ghat, praising the warm reception, stressing that his government is "well aware" of the city's need for more attention through the development of a number of facilities, the most important of which are health, noting that there will be "there will be other visits and coordination with the relevant ministries."
During the visit, Bashagha conducted an inspection tour of the Essin border port with Algeria, during which he was briefed on the port’s facilities, stressing that his government will pay special attention to the various sectors in the south, because “the security of the north begins with the security of the south.”
Bashagha stressed that his government will pay special attention and care to the border areas and will work to restore “everything that has been bitten off from the Libyan state".
