Libya's National Centre for Disease Control announced that it has stopped publishing daily Covid-19 statistics and will instead publish a weekly bulletin starting next Saturday.

It also confirmed in its weekly report the improvement of the epidemiological situation in Libya for more than two consecutive months, noting the country’s exit from the fourth wave of the virus, but added “this does not necessarily mean the end of the epidemic".

The epidemiological report indicated that the weekly rate of positive cases continues to decline, reaching 7%, pointing to the slowdown in the spread of the disease as well as the stability of the death rate.

16% of Libya's population has been vaccined with two doses.
