Libya's Ministry of the Interior announced on Tuesday, that it had freed a group of foreign hostages kidnapped by an armed group.
According to a statement issued by the ministry, members of the Western Border Region Investigations Agency were able to free these hostages from a location on the outskirts of Zuwara.
The ministry said that the kidnappers were caught "red-handed" and were unable to cause any damage during the raid.
It added that legal measures regarding the incident have been taken and those responsible haved been referred to the competent authorities.
