A security source in the city of Bani Walid confirmed to Alwasar that a "deliberate fire by unknown persons", was set at Municipal Council's meeting room.

The security source said that the city's authorities, led by the Security Directorate, has begun investigations into the incident to bring the perpetrators to justice.

For their part, the Mayor and members of the Municipal Council of Bani Walid expressed their condemnation of this crime, which targets government institutions, calling on the security authorities to prosecute the perpetrators.
