Government of National Unity Prime Minister Abdulamid Dabaiba said that Belgian authorities are making a new attempt to "rob" Libyan frozen funds.

Dabaiba added, "we have a problem with Belgium, and the truth is that there is greed for Libyan money there. They submitted a request to the Security Council’s sanctions committee on Libya in order to obtain permission to control that money,” according to a video clip of his opening speech to the eighth regular meeting of the government.

He continued, "we have assigned a delegation to visit Belgium in the Euroclear case and we cannot tell the details of it because it is being considered by the judiciary there."

But saying, "I am addressing the state of Belgium from this meeting to respect Libya as an investor," concluding, "we are not honored to deal with any country that tries to control and rob our money.”
