Libyan Minister of Foreign Affairs Najla Mangoush, discussed with the Austrian ambassador to Libya, Christoph Meyenburg, the possibility of benefiting from the Austrian technology in border protection, to aid in reducing illegal immigration, smuggling, transnational organized crime and human trafficking.

The meeting, which took place at the Ministry's headquarters in Tripoli on Monday, was a follow-up to discussions on the sidelines of Mangoush's participation in the United Nations General Assembly meetings in New York last September, according to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The two sides stressed the importance of strengthening bilateral relations and activating cooperation agreements between the two countries in all fields. They also discussed the possibility of training Libyan diplomats at the Austrian Diplomatic Institute, which is one of the oldest in the world.
